Thread: Can I use this ecm?

    Can I use this ecm?

I'm confused I read lt1tech.com about swaps and he give part numbers for express van ecms that will work with cable tb's. but i looked up the numbers and they show silverados. Now I have an ecm the number on it is 89017750 with blue green connector. I'm trying to figure out if I can use this ecm with a cable driven lq4 from a 04 van. Can anybody help me i don't wanna buy another ecm if I can use this one. Oh most likely i'm going speed density, and obviously cable driven throttle body.

    blue green means 03+, dbw.
    i don't like loading 03+ calibrations in a 02 and prior pcm, different pn's.

get you a pcm that ends in 411, 01/02 pcm, trucks/camaros.

You just confused me lol. You don't like loading +03 calibrations on a -03 pcm. But the pcm i have is a 05 and the lq4 I have is an 04. You kind of just told me to do what you don't like, to load a 04 calibration onto an 02 pcm.

03 vans with the blue green connector still use cable tb so teh pcm is teh same as the 411 that is found in Fbodys and silverados.

i tuned an elcamino with a 03 van drop out with no issues. it was a 6.0/80 setup with polluter cam.

    youll be fine

The 411 was 01/02 truck and 01/02 f or y body, only. Right? Wasnt the previous years like an 862 or something other than a 411 PCM part number?

The 12200411 PCM is a 512kb with Blue/Red connectors used in 01 and 02. The 03 to 07 PCMs are 1mb PCMs with Blue/Green connectors. You can't flash a 512kb tune into a 1mb PCM and Vice/Versa. I have 03 and 05 Express Van DBC tunes in Tunercat format. If you can use them---Give me your E-Mail address and I will send them to you.

Ya, if your pcm and harness came from the same truck, just use those two, like it was said, it'll work.
There are a few suburbans and tahoes that do use the dbw, and the pcm PN is the same as the 01/02 fbody.
