2010 Silverado ECSB LS 4x4. Only mods so far are a K&N drop in filter and a Rough Country 2" front level kit

I have never seen controls on any 99-02.

What I am saying is that any steering wheel that has controls WILL NOT fit on a 99-02 truck.
Ok, let me rephrase...it WILL fit, you just can't use the controls cause the BCM and wiring does not support it.

so if I were to to take a steering wheel off of an 03-06 that DOESNT have the controls, it would fit as a replacement to the one on my '02, which also DOESNT have controls??

Actually some 99-02s do have steering wheel controls, but that's not what TXARKITEKT was getting at.
The 01-02 C3/Yukon Denali/Sierra Denali and Escalade have audio controls on the steering wheel.
