prep for 5.3/4l60 to 6.0/4l80 swap

I've got a 01 tahoe 5.3/4l60/4x4 and I picked up a 6.0/4l80/TC out of a 04 2500HD. the 6.0/4/80/tc are all still mated together, and wirig hardness harness and ECM are still connected. From what Ive been reading here, it should be a direct swap (plug and play).

Is there any wiring differences between the to years. Didn't things change 03/04 time frame?

I noticed the connector for the Park Nuetral Saftey Switch is disconnected and it appears that two of the wires were pulled out/ broke away from the connector on the harness. SO THE fix; are the harnesses from the 4L80 and 4L60 the same?

I use my Hoe for a DD and mainly Slowing a 5500-6000lb boat. My looking at long tube headers, true dual exhaust, haven't decided on an air intake yet, a program, and a CAM (but I don't know what one?)

    thanks in advance.

this might help with trans wiring, as for everything else it should be fine but youre gonna have to change to a drive by wire throttle which means a pedal change' im pretty sure, someone will chime in that knows for sure. Oh also relocation of the trans crossmember.and a few other things.

You can just put your 5.3 intake on the 6.0 and still have DBC.. That way you dont have to mess with upgrading the pedal. Don't worry the intakes are basically the same, ones just DBW and the other is DBC

So after a little more research what do you think about thos combo:
5.3 heads to bump up compression
    5.3 intake to maintain DBC
    Pacesetter longtube headers
    Comp Cams XTREME RPM XR259HR - 206/212 .515/.522 w 1.7 rocker-112 LSA

What this cam reguire a a difference torque convertet?

As I understand it, the 6.0 should be a direct swap. But As stated above the newer Chevs are drive by wire, and our trucks are drive by cable. So swapping your intake fixs the issue.

As for the building and engine setup I'm new to the chevy build world, so my knowledge is limited. The setup I'm posted above is just something I've put together, I'm not sure just how it's going to work.
