Angry having trouble with 99 silverado

ok guys i drove to the coast which is about a 3 hour drive. truck was running fine the whole way untill i arrived and checked in the hotel. after checking in i was going to head out to the beach, but when i turned on the truck it started missing real bad, it had normal oil pressure and volt meter was reading fine. I parked the truck and shut it off waited a couple of minutes and turned it back on and seemed normal. i drove to the beach with no problems untill later when we went to get someting to eat. and it kept doing the same the whole time over there. all i did was shut it off and run it again and seemed to run. thank god i made it back it was 230 miles one way. instead of having a good time and getting wasted i was bs with the truck. i changed the fuel filter about 8k miles ago so i know its not that.can anyone please help on what you think it could be.

Get some MAF sensor spray cleaner and start there. Check your fuel pressure if you have access to a gauge. The humidity on the coast may have caused a little problem with the sensors.

there is a schraeder valve on the fuel rail crossover that you can hook a handheld gauge to. you should have between 50-60 psi pressure with the engine running. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose and the fuel pressure should rise a few PSI. To purchase your own gauge is about $50. Borrow one if you can. Sometimes places like Orielly's will have one in their lineup of rental tools.
