    2008 4.8 zo6 cam

I've been doing some research on doing the z06 cam swap in a 2008 4.8. I was wondering what all of your opinions would be on it. This is for a buddy of mine that wants to have a lil more power for a easily affordable price. His mode are intake full exhaust and a tune. What would he need to do for his cam to work?

from what i read, it'll also raise the power band, so be prepared to run in the upper range more often.
00 FRC - just top end, exhaust, and a hot-air intake
    99 Sierra - 5.3 / 5spd

springs are needed. rods are recommended. i would tell him to go a lil bit bigger on the cam. configuration of truck?

It's his dd street truck. He will take it to the track every once in a while. What do u mean by a new style cam?

I wouldn't do it in a 4.8 DD truck. You will lose too much low-end torque. The low-lift version of the Comp 212/218 would be a much better choice. Or one of the Vinci 210/218 cams.
