    Just FYI

Summit brand air filters are K&N renamed, may have already known this but I just found out today when mine arrived in the mail...

Everything with Summit's name is made by some other manufacturer. A lot of times you can tell just by comparing one of their parts to some of the brand name parts.

Yes the filter actually came wrapped in a K&N wrapper and K&N is molded into the end of the filter. It also came with all the K&N paperwork.

Yea they are. A lot of companies do this now with a lot of parts. Like batteries and shocks. Pro comp and rancho and a few other brands are made in the same factory with the same parts, just get different stickers and put in different boxes, and sold for different prices.

GM Performance Parts are often made by other performance companies too.

The LT4 roller rockers were Crane. When they were recalled in 1995-6, many of the original sets off the cars had Crane stamped on them.

i would not hesitate to buy any of the summit parts. summit does not have a factory to manufacturer anything, so they are all aftermarket companies

Sometimes the Summit brand is a different manufacturer. IE this time it will be K&N maybe next time Airaid or something. The price is always better and the quality is always first rate IMO. I think it depends on who gave them the best deal at the time.
