    Hello from ST Louis

    Hey everyone I am new to the site. Did some browsing around and thought I would join up. I was searching on LS1Tech and some people were talking about this site for few quetions I had. I am from St Louis and run a shop in the area. I own a few vehicles (all being from GM). I am starting a new project on a truck I am picking up next week. Its a 90 K1500 4.3 700R4. The motor is locked up so needs a replacement. Last year I bought a 99 Silverado 4x4 that was totaled for $400.00. Runs great but alot of body/frame damage. So as you might guess I am going to swap as much stuff as I can to the 1990 for a nice winter DD. I have already read some helpful info and looking forward to more.

    Thanks guys. I will be picking up the truck on Tuesday night so I will start the removal next weekend. Just another project to keep me from working on my 3rd gen Z28 but these Camaros dont move in the snow. I cant wait to get started on this.

    Welcome man! What motor is in the 99? A 5.3L? Since you have been dealing with the Z28, you should be familiar with the LS style of motor. The 5.3L is similar, so you should be able to mod it pretty easily.
