A stock idle type cam shouldn't be noticable. I bet they never figure it out.

An LS6 cam would sneek by...but who would waste the time and effort and cash to do an LS6 cam swap? That would be flat stupid.

wow I thought that allot of the members here use those... Anyone who uses those cams have any input? I figured that if i could put in a cam worth 20-30hp and not void my warranty was a good idea. of course i want a lopey idle but not at the cost of paying for a warranty and not being able to use it if poopy hits the fan.

If you are worried about the warranty, then don't touch it until it runs out. That is a calculated risk to mod the vehicle w/o affecting the warranty.

I was worried about mine for about 500 miles, then I put a cam in it. They still honored the warranty as long as the cam didn't cause the issue.

I have the Z06 cam swap in my truck. I bought the cam and the z06 springs from my dealer for less than $350. I gained just under 50 wheel hp on the dyno. I did the cam and springs in less than 4 hours. That doesnt sound flat out stupid to me.

If I where you I would do it. The shop would never know as long as you dont say anything.

I used the yellow z06 springs. The Pushrods, rockerarms, valve retainers and keepers are all the same for 5.3 to ls6
