    Truck 6.0 return line

I couldnt find exactly what I was looking for in the search. Does the lq4 or lq9 have a return on the fuel rail? If not how can I have a return from the motor to my fuel cell? thanks

it depends which year engine it is.

99-03 trucks have a return style fuel system.
04 to present trucks have a returnless style fuel system.

Yeah it will. I had to change my fuel rail to the 99-03 because I had the returnless, but yeah I used a 5/16 and 3/8 fitting, they fit really well when I used these steel braided hose and connectors. I almost cut the lines to short though.

the single (returnless) line systems were devoted to the E85 program on
trucks. the metallic fuel logs (instead of composite) didnt deteriate because
of the ethanol usage. the return systems served until 2004, when it was
phased out for the E85 usage.

i used stainless braided line and have noticed the rubber is slowly
oooozzzing from underneath the stainless braiding... kindda looks like
    the hose needs a shave...
im going to convert to plastic OE style fuel lines.

These are what I plan on using, but they are expensive

The Dorman part numbers are listed in the OBS-LS1 conversion sticky

You can still use a single feed line to the fuel rail.

Have it come from your fuel cell, into the regulator. Out the bottom of the regulator and back to the tank. The third port goes from the regulator to your intake fuel rail.
This is assuming you're using a three port fuel regulator, like the Aeromotive or the stock 2002 vette reg.

    good luck,
    allen
