Got my trangso put in last night and everything is good. With one washer in 1-2 accumulaor and a vette servo and stock line pressures(pcm) I get a real firm 1-2 firm 2-3 and improved 3-4. All shifts are much quicker now though. At wot I get a nice scratch on the 1-2 and jumps on the 2-3. I am enjoying it so far.
Same here I had mine done yesterday(TransGo shift kit with Corvette servo with two washers in the 1-2 accumulaor) and real nice firm shifts with a loud bark from the tires going into second (even with slicks). Still very comfortable under normal driving conditions. It was about $375 installed. I would not recommend doing this install unless you are very (and I mean very) familiar with transmissions (not for the weekend do it yourselfer). Mine was done at JAG Performance in San Antonio (a sponsor on our site). Thank you Joe, you always do fantastic work.

Those billet servos really make a huge difference... if you get the extra $$$, I highly recommend them.

I will be in SA on the 8th getting the Eaton and 4.10:1 gears put in the Ford!

That's a Big 10-4. Eaton, 4.10:1 FMS gears, and Earls stainless brake hoses. I am excited! Going from the 3.55:1 to that 4.10:1 should be good for about .1-.3 I hope. Man I need to get that damn Diablo chip from ya at some point here...

Just wondering how much was the shift kit and where did ya get it
I got mine from Thunder Racing but I had a $25 gift certificate to use. KDS performance has the best prices on them that I have found. Normal retail is between $98-$119 for the shit kit and the vette servo is only $15. KDS does have a trangso/vette servo combo that runs $109 I believe.

I got mine on Ebay for under 65.00 total. Search under 4L60E and a seller at oregonperformancetransmission sells both the transgo shift kit and corvette servo new and they are cheap. I am going to see about installing it myself. I have heard that if you have a good mechanical sense the shift kit is easy enough to do in your driveway. We'll see!

I've got them. They add a little harshness at low shifts that's liveable w/o a tweak on the tune. I had my line pressure dropped 5% at 5-30% TPS.

Allen laughed his ass off that my Z71 will bark 285 AT's on a 1-2 upshift with ease.
He would have shit a brick with my old z71 then.

p285/75/16 BFG AT's would bark on the 1-2 shift, before it got into boost. At WOT, it would lay rubber on the 1-2 and hit the 2-3 pretty hard. When it was damp out, better hang on, it would have gotten sideways with you.

Hard shifts like that are bad though, it will shift itself to pieces, literally.
