Hi, my name is cameron. I have a 95 GMC ecsb aaand a friend of mine told me about this site and I'm absolutely at awe. I want an LS1/T56 to replace my 305tbi/nv3500 (I think).

Everything here is so informative. I just wish there was maybe a photo section for OBS swaps and then a NBS swap section? I think it would be good for reference and hope for guys like me!

Anyway, I'm a mini trucker. I like my trucks loooow. This is my truck: http://www.streetsource.com/ViewOwnerProfi...Profileid=25636

I love the thing to death, but as most (if not all) of you know, it's a friggin money pit. My doors are 1.5" away from the ground. I'm pretty happy about that!

Hell yeah. I've considered the LQ4 swap. I'm sure it would be a HELL of a lot cheaper. But the weight savings of the all aluminum motor.

but then again, I already have an iron block. Not much of a difference!! Lol!!

What intake are you planning on using with the LQ4 swap you're planning out? The regular 6.0 one or trying to go with the LS1?

I've already swapped an LS1 for a 4.3L V8 (yes V8) in a caprice. Pain in the butt. Still haven't received the computer.

    Amen to that.

I have to scoop up compressors and 22" tires for the front of my truck.

*sigh* Money is a cruel, cruel b*tch.

Welcome! There are about 1 or 2 members who have done the LS1/T-56 swap, but I think they have done it on NBS only... But I am sure the swap wouldn't be entirely impossible---it should fit quite nicely, since you already have the NV3500 in there already. Go ahead and try to round up your parts...by that time we should be able to guide you along your way without any major problems... Is your truck your DD?

It's not my DD. It's currently in parts in my garage. Has been for a couple years. . I've been trying to financially get on my feet. It sucks.

But it should up and running (with the 305tbi ) with in the year. Hopefully.

    Lol!!
