Hey, I've been lurking around here as a guest for a while, so I decided it was time to sign up. Kudos to all for all of the tech info. This forum has already answered tons of questions I've had. By the way, I've got a '00 Sierra 2wd extended cab short box w/a 4.8, A/T and a strange option package (NO options except fog lights, alum. rims, high-flow intake and H/D rear springs). So far I've only done a minor stereo install and a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust, as I've only had the truck for a little over a month, but plans include 3/4 drop, some decent chrome rims, painting all of that damn plastic, and either leather seat skins and door panels/guts for P/W and P/L, or, if I can find one, swapping in and interior setup from a Denali (or an Escalade, LT/SLT or whatever I come across that's nice and bolts right in). Also, I'm lookin' into a cowl hood and hard tonneau. I'll try to get some pics up over the next little bit, but she's kinda plain right now. I'm always looking for an excuse to head south, so I'll be keepin' my ears open for meets/shows, etc.

Sounds like you've got big plans for that money pit. 
That option package does sound weird, but getting what you want shouldn't be that tough. Red is right--get ready to put everything you make into that truck. Unless you are one of the mentally strong---once you start this process, it ill never stop.
