Thread: GTO or vette or Fbody seats

    Thumbs up

Anybody done this in a RCSB. What would be needed to make them sit the same height as the factory seats leaving my center console/ seat in place. The seats in my 99 are lacking. I thought about mounting a roll bar / cage in it to mount the seat belts to. I take my 5 year old daughter to school every day and will not do without seatbelts but my seats SUCK.
Also Anyone use 116 octane race fuel I found a guy that has it for 6.50 a gallon. Is it safe with my whipple running about 6 to 7 lbs?
    Zeake .

why dont u just go with a leather seat? they r nice, but idk if ur going full blown race truck u might wanna go with a racing seat. and it prob wont be nearly as comfortable as ur seats now(for u or ur daughter). im going leather when i do mine, but id think ud just need the full braketry under the seat and bolt it to the floor.

I dont know about going as high as 116 in your application, is it leaded or unleaded? but maybe something with a little lower octane might work fine and be in your benefit

Well I usually do not slow down for the curves and the stock seats let you slide. I also feel like my fat but has caused my seats to wear down some. The only thing that slows me down is the fit and seat belt placement. Not to mention the money that could b spent on cooling fans and brake upgrades and and and. . . . .
I want it to still look mostly stock inside. I would love to look at some pics of someones roll cage set up in a truck along with have a set of GTO seats to set inside my truck to see how they fit.
Unfortunately no one I know has a GTO or a truck with roll cage.

I finally got to inspect a GTO seat, With out major fab and a custom roll bar for the seat belt it will not work.
The GTO was fun though. I gave it hell for about 10 minutes. I need a better idea for seats.
