Will the LS1 intake fit on the truck 6.0 and would it have any benefit over the stock truck unit? Someone told me that the ls1 intakes were better that the truck ones.

They are both good. If you have a cable driven throttle body it will interfere with the neck on the truck water pump and it would have to be replaced with an LS1 type pump.

If I rememeber correctly the truck cable bracket will have to be modded with the F-Body since the cable lengths are different. Talk to VV8 because he just went through that swap with bracket problems and he lost HP.

You'll need efans for this conversion or custom piping because of the lower profile intake it drops the position of the TB on the ls1 intake. Look at your engines intake and you notice how tall it is compared to the ls1's.

Mine is going in a swap with e-fans anyway, So can I just run a F-body water pump and use the truck pulley?
