I'm installing ls6 rotating assy in block and wondering if my 706 5.3 heads are a waste of time? If so, what should I put on thats cheap, or replace to larger valves on 5.3 heads? mill some 243 heads?

243 heads are not cheap. You'll be lucky to find a good set for less than $450 and then you'll have machining costs to mill them flat, about $80 around these parts for the machine work and cleaning. Unless you're going for extreme HP I'd say you can use the 5.3L heads until you can buy some top quality ported 243 heads, maybe even some ARP or ETP heads.

Will the stock 5.3 heads flow good enough for my extra Comp Cam, specs: 216/218 .561 .562 114+2 and make enough decent power from the ls6 pistons / rods / crank I'm installing?
