Patriot has a set for 995.00 complete through today. I need a set to complete the LS6 I have. Who has the best bang for the buck? I'm determined to get in the high 11's on motor only. The LS7 sure is looking better every dayespecially when it gets up to 30 mpg.

The heads Patriot sells are not true 243 heads, they are copies but still decent heads. If you read their data really closely you'll see what I'm talking about. My heads are the 2.08/1.60 LS6 "Style" heads from Patriot.

I read on their site where they use an 035 casting which states "LS6 style" heads and then they have another head that says 243 casting "LS6/LS2" heads. I left them a message yesterday afternoon to clarify this but I believe you're correct. I can get a set off of ebay for $799 brand new without head bolts and gaskets.

sounds like some good flow numbers for such small valves. Sounds like a deal to me even if they are LS2 heads, only diff between LS2/LS6 is the sodium filled valves and springs which are replaced with their gold springs.

Got a set coming. For that price I can't go wrong! I just need a set of Cometic gaskets for the NOS and I'm set.
