I'm putting a 5.3 L33 in my '03 1500 and would like to know some good mods to do while its on the engine stand. I was thinking a mild cam (zo6?) with springs of course, possibly roller rockers, and a crank pulley. I don't want to go overly large on the cam since its my daily would like to keep reasonable gas mileage. Any suggestions there? The truck will probably be boosted with a STS kit on down the road so that may be a factor on the cam too. I'd like to put down 300's at the wheel and was thinking some LTs, electric fans, mild cam & springs, UDP, and tune would be a good start. What do you guys recommend?

I had a comp cams 212/218 in my STS boosted 5.3. loved it, probably dcould have went 1 size bigger, but it ran great, it really complimented the turbo and did have a nice lope at idle! Also leave the rockers alone and do the Z06 valve springs. Think about getting some 6.0 liter heads too.
