Decided to do a little work on the wheels so the truck is on blocks for now. I've welded all of the nicks up in the rims and I'm in the process of grind and polishing. As soon as they are finished I have a new set of Sumitomo tires coming. The price is right and they have a pretty nice tread pattern. I had a set of Nitto Drags on the rear and some 555's on the front but the drags didn't last very long. Anyone tried the Sumitomo's out? I'll take pics when I'm finished.

BTW, I called Boyd Cottington to make me the same set in 20" X 13" rears and 10" fronts but they said they couldn't due to bankruptcy. When his buisness went the first time so did all of his original wheel patterns. I might have to change design a little bit for them to make me a set.

Boyd went bankrupt back in 98 and all of his old wheel designs went with it. His new designs went with American Racing just recently. You can still get custom built wheels by Boyd just not the wheels when he went bankrupt. The wheels looked so much better back then!!

Got the wheels back on and the repairs went excellent! You can't even see the weld marks. It rained today so the wheels are a little dirty but here they are with the new Sumitomo skins. 315/35/17 on 11" rims rear and 275/40/17 on 9.5" rims front. BTW Greg, I dropped the rear another inch. I can't go any further without C nothching and flipping the rear end but that might still happen if I bag it.

It looks alot worse up close. I bought it new in 97 and it has the original paint except for the grill and hood. I went to Arturo's Paint and Body and the estimate was $5000.00 to paint it solid white with no molding a roll pan, painted mirrors, smoothed and painted door handles and a shaved tailgate. I think I'd rather invest in some more HP though!
