Iim new, glad i found this site, have a sweet rcsb 97, the body and chasis is all done the way i allways wanted it, pumped up the 5.7 with bolt ons, it rips for a truck but i want way more. LS engines seem like a good idea, what do i need ? the engine, tranny, computer and harness, can i use my factory computer? how about engine mounts? I've seen the s&p headers now so that's taken care of , any help greatly appreciated.

Look at the pinned article at the top of this column . You'll still have to come up with an air breather solution on your own . I had my stock harness fused with the donor car harness and wished I'd gone with one of Nelsons now .I've got wires running all over and don't like it although it works fine . It was done by the lt1350.com guy. My drive shaft went right into the 4l60e that came with the engine I bought , as well as my column shifter and power steering lines . It wasn't that bad getting the LS1 drivetrain into the truck with the S and P motor mount adapters . Here's one thing I know , I'm not good at technical things and I got the engine swapped into my truck and running in 2 weeks . That's my 2 cents worth - you'll be getting a lot more info here .
