I changed my mind after looking throught the site a while and want to do my swap with an LS1 and a 4L60E transmission from Finish Line Transmissions.
I need help with finding the right LS1. I don't know if I'm gonna buy a brand new one yet or one with low miles on it but I want to know what years or variations I should be looking for and what are some good power mods for the LS1 that I can apply to the motor while its out and accessible. I want to up the power to around 400hp. And while its on my mind, will I be able to fit long tube headers without much problems?

Why not a 6.0L? An Lq9 will do nicely in your truck!

larger displacement, 345 STOCK horsepower, start there. LS1 has what 350 stock ponies? but at 5.7 liters.
