    96 obs to 09 5.3

First off this site is awsome when it comes to the amount of information I've been able to find. The only problem is I seem to have is my swap is not the typical gen 3 harness and computer. A little back ground on the truck, it's a 96 was a 350/4l60 originally now it has a 2009 5.3 with the e38 pcm transmission was also used from the 2009. The harness and ecm were set up as a standalone from an unknown source I do know the guy who did the harness did not install it but I also do not have a pin out of how it's done either. Couple that with the fact the stock harness is still intact in the truck just laid over the inner fender, it's somewhat of a wiring nightmare. Has anyone deleted the stock black box computer on a 96 and run a standalone in its place? Before you say repin the 96 harness that's not really an option as the previous owner (the 1 who started the swap) has already cut off plugs and some wires at the factory computer. Is there a short run down of what the stock 96 computer controls? Any help would be extremely appreciated.

2wd or 4x4.... sounds somewhat like you're in for a challenge... I am not familiar with that style comp.. if you have a stand alone harness your only option is to get it running with that.. then work on getting signal from your new pcm for speedo and tach.. get the oil and temp signal from the sensors on the engine to your cluster as well.... the 96 PCM basically controlled the engine.. injectors, tps, iac, firing order, transmission, etc

It's a 2wd I've managed to get most of the old harness out and the old black box computer is now gone also. The truck is running solely on the standalone harness now, the only real issue I'm having trouble with now is finding the c100 pinout that actually matches up to this truck. The title says it's a 1996 but some of the pinouts I found for a 96 doesn't match up to this connector. Anyone know what the connector behind the glove box is called? It's a small white plug with 7 wires
