LS7 in a 2000 Chevy Tahoe Limited
I'm new guys but I have been lurking for a while now. I am about to start a my own project soon since the motor in my 2000 Tahoe Limited just about took its last sip of gas. Anyone know what it would take to get a LS7 pulled out of a 06 Z06 to bolt into a 2000 Tahoe Limited? Anyone out there make a motor mount to make it any easier? how would the oil sump mount? Any help would be great need to get pointed in the right direction.

Sounds like a neat swap idea. Love the LS7 personally. If it were a swap I was working on I would try to get everything associated with that motor. Especially for the dry sump, since you may be able to use the lines and oil tank. If you don't use it you might need it for reference to figure out fittings, capacity, or whatever. Which motor/trans does your truck have now?

Thanks for the reply! I'm definitely pulling the trigger on something in the very near future... Right now im torn between the lS7 or the LSA. I'm leaning towards Ls7 only because to me its the baddest. I'm curious about the oil sump using it would be cool but I don't know if there would be enough room. I did a brief search on google and I guess going to a wet sump wouldn't be to hard. My main concern would be motor mounts... I currently have the stock 5.7 in the truck.. Any company's out there that would be able to help me out with the motor mounts?
