My truck is an '06 and came with a 4L60. I hear some trucks came with a separate trans controller if a 4L80 is factory equipped. So what do you do if you swap from a 4L60 to a 4L80 and your truck does not a have the separate trans controller?

a separate trans controller started in '07, yours doesn't have one.
1. flash your ecm with an HD 6.0/80e file
2. use hptuners beta version and use the trans segment swap utility.

you can get the cooler kit at any autoparts store an have it installed at local tranny shop. If doing the swap use the biggest cooler you can get this things run hot.
