For me, using the DBW setup was pretty seamless. I think I would go to a DBC setup if I was building a race motor because in racing, every tenth of a second counts and you don't want to have any lag at all. I haven't notice the slightest bit of hesitation in my throttle and I'm pretty sure they took out what lag there was when they did the tune on my PCM. The only downside was having to fit the pedal and the fact that I can't move the throttle blade manually when I'm standing over the engine. Other than those, I actually don't even notice that it's a DBW type throttle. In my Subaru however, lag city!! But that's another story!
