    better turning radius???

ok guys. this has been on my mind for several years and i have yet to find an answer. this prolly isnt the right place to post but idk where else to put it....

anyway here goes. as we all know, pickup trucks have theeeeeeee worst turning radius ever. FACT. i get that they are extra long so it requires a little more space to turn into a parking spot. but how can SUV's that are based off the same chassis turn sharper???? my only personal experience is with an expedition which i believe is based off an f150. i havnt actually driven a tahoe or burb so i cant say for sure but from what i see its the same story. how can a full size suv have a completely different front setup? i mean almost all the parts are interchangeable right? what gives? what am i missing?

my truck is dropped 4/6 so obviously im gonna be short changed. i accept that due to the mod. but im talking about a "normal" half ton from the factory. i dont care what year. if the chassis is basically identacle, how is there such a big difference in the front suspension? if a burb/hoe can turn better than me, then why cant i take the suspension from it and put it on my truck (assuming i was stock)??? isnt the frame up front the same? it should "THEORETICALLY" bolt on right? im guessing a few differences but for the most part shouldn't be too difficult... or am i waaaaaaay of here??? i feel this would be a typical thing to do but i cant find it anywhere which tells me there has to be more to it....

if i had some insight on this, i would love to TRY and make it happen. it doesnt seem like a huge feat.... but from the lack of info on it, tells me there is something else hiding in the backround i cant see.

i just think it would be awesome to be able to turn into a parking space like a prius vs having to back in all the time!! lol

anyone else know what i mean?

Not a complete help but I turned the pitman arm a 1/4 turn on the steering box to allow sharper steering to the right. I found this trick by mistake by swapping boxes and it would turn AWESOME to the left but was horrible to the right. My CCLB dually now will make a proper right turn.

The tahoes actually have the shortest wheelbase. That is helpful. The suburbans are about on point, but suffer from the same turning issues.
