Trans is goofy after gear change

Hi, I'm new here. Just changed gears in my 03 silverado from 3.42 to 3.73. The transmission shifts funny now in the 2-3 shift and into the 3-4 shift. It doesn't slip once it's engaged, it just lags or hangs during the shift. Is it a computer issue or a Trans issue ? Didn't do this before hand. I installed a transgo shift kit and waiting on a tune from wheatley.

once you get your tune back it will compensate the trans shift for the gears you installed

Just a point of view from the tuner side.
I see this a lot and sometimes it may not be the tune.

Now your description of the trans hanging or shifting odd may be different and you're interpreting the issue in your own way and I may be seeing it from a different angle.

But, you should be able to swap gears in a 4l60 99-06 and the trans shift fine.
Now the up and downshifts may be off a little and your speedometer will read about 10mph off, but the trans will shift just fine.
Next, you can install a shift kit into a 60e and it shift just fine with no tune or no retune. This is in most cases.

As far as a tune issue, yes it could be the tune. The shift times may be too high, this will cause the trans to act like it has an issue. The trans and shiftkit wanna shift quick, however, the tune is doing it's job and trying to shift what it's commanded.

    hope it helps,
