02 Sierra - How to tell drop method?

My Sierra 2wd appears to have been dropped 2" from factory height in the front prior to my buying it. I pulled a number off the front spring tag 15032650 which tracks to a factory spring. It has 7 coils. So, I am thinking maybe it was dropped with spindles but how do I tell? Does anyone have pictures of a stock spindle so I could compare? Any ideas to determine what I have?

I need new shocks but need to figure what suspension I have before ordering.

    Thanks

    Belltech -2 spindle

I stole the pic off another site, but you can see how close the spindle hole is to the top.

Thanks for the reply. I believe mine is towards the top, like your picture. So a stock spindle would be more centered or towards the bottom?

Try mounting a 16". My truck has drop spindles stock 16 would not fit in the front.

Don't mean to thread jack but I'm curious to see stock 2wd rear suspension shock location, leaf springs, shackles, and anything else.
I'm curious bout the rear suspension on my truck. My truck was also lowered when I bought it.
I think drop shackles. Only have 3 leafs in leaf spring. There is small c notch but I was told 2 owners ago had truck slammed. And guy I bought from said he had truck lifted up little bit. Truck does have level stance to it.

im pretty sure there would be a brand name or marking on the back side of the spindle. get a flashlight out and check it out. or just find a pic of a stock spindle and compare it to yours. if yours is higher, then there is your answer.

also true for the smaller diameter rim not fitting. it would hit the control arm. not sure about your body but the trick for the OBS trucks was to notch the control arm to allow the smaller rim.
