    Replacing my 6.0 LQ9 with a 6.2 L92

I have a 6.2 with harness but no computer. Can I drop it in and run it with my 6.0 harness and computer. I know the variable valve timing will not work. What are my other options for dropping in my 2002 Sierra Denali ?

I don't think you can because the cranks have different reluctor wheels 6.0 is 24 tooth and the 6.2 is 58 tooth. Also the 6.0 has the cam sensor at the back of the engine by the oil pressure gauge and the 6.2 has it in the timing cover. I think there are some things you can buy to make it work but you will have to do some searching.

I put an gm ls3-480hp crate engine into my o4 Silverado that had a 5.3 in it. I am using the stock computer and harness with mainly plug in wire conversions. heres what I used, most was bought from lingenfelter. 24x to 58x crank trigger converter box, plug and play about 300 bucks. knock sensor extension harness, about 30 bucks. ls1 to ls3 cam sensor harness, plug and play about 100 bucks. Torque Rush 8 to 6 pin throttle body conversion box, plug and play about 300. ls3 injector pigtails, solder them things, about 50 bucks from ebay. I extended my purge valve plug, added a wire to the alternator plug, made a bend in the fuel rail...make sure you have a return-less fuel system. my 5.3 alternator and power steering bracket didn't fit the ls3 so I bought an ls3 accessory drive kit. I may have missed something but that is basically it. oh and you need to tune it, I use hptuners. I haven't run it on the 1/4 mile but I drive it to work everyday and it moves. been in there about a year.
