New Member - 93 RCSB getting a 5.3/4l60e swap

Hello All,

I'm Aaron and am the proud owner of a 1993 Chevy C1500 Sportside Sport RCSB in Victory Red. The truck was bought my dad new and given to me when I turned 16. I turned 30 this year and figured it was time to pull the truck out of the garage and fix it up. Since this is my first truck and full of memories, I am spending the time and money to make it what I have always wanted and thought about for the last 14+ years.

Its now lowered 4/6 static with helper bags and hellwig sway bars sitting on American Racing wheels. Hoping to have the old, tired, and really underpowered 4.3 V6 out and have my 5.3 LM7 and associated 4l60e from a donor 2005 running by the end of summer. Then a little body work and paint and it will be ready to cruise again. Interior is in great shape and sound is already done...so not much work needed there.

This site has been instrumental in deciding to do the ls vortec swap and I am sure will be needed much more to get the truck up and running.
