New to forum
Im new to this form in search of answers and technical advise, and to share my input. I have a 95 k2500 5.7 tbi with an nv4500, and am getting ready to start collecting parts to do a 6.0 swap. I have done a lot of research and finding limited info on the 6.0 swap with the nv4500 tranny. The 95 chevy I have is the first year of the new interior and last year of the non vortec motor. and I believe the first year of the higher gear ratio 1st gear nv4500. I hope to gain info on the swap and to share info I learn durring the process to aid others doing the same swap. Thanx in advance, also new to ls motors, experienced with old school sbc's.

Welcome friend. I am sure you will find the answers you need here soon. 6.0 is a great choice for that truck by the way.

Thank you took a while to find the truck I wanted, reg cab, n4500 5 speed, and not a rust bucket. 209k miles now original on motor. Dont want to repalce with another TBI. Will be getting a shoppin list togeather to do the swap. Looking for more power and fuel econonmy. I am thinking of gasket matching heads, mild port work, cam swap. Was thinking of doing a lq9, I understand they have higher compresion thus more power. Not sure if some have better heads than others still part of my research. lq4's are cheaper and looking into maby a lq4 with a head swap, not sure if price wise if that would have an edge over stock lq9 with stock heads. I have found info on the nv4500 swap (sounds like 4.8 flywheel, stock clutch, ls2 pilot bearing not seated all the way, has external slave and should be fine.) but eveyone that I have found swaped the tranny also and swapped the early nv4500 with lower gearing. not sure if there are any phisical differences or just internals. This will be my first non carb. engine swap and sounds like wiring can be a little confusing and contradictive. Would like to run a stand alone system since ill be running mechnical gages and not automatic should make for a less painfull swap. I have a built 383 stroker with AFR heads ill be selling to start funding the prodject, will be slow going at first due to just purchased a house. but gives me time to gain knowlege, and time to find good deals. anyone with any pointers would be much appreciated will keep posted on parts and progress and will be taking many pics.
