Starting my 5.3 swap and can't decide wether to keep dbc or put in the dbw that my donor 04 tahoe has.
I've been looking for pics of how the pedal is mounted but can find any.
Please post up your pics please.

these pics arent the greatest but you should get the idea. IIRC, i was able to use one of the existing mounting holes but im not positive... anyway you will prolly need to straighten out the pedal since it will hit the trans tunnel and a few other mods depending. use a torch.
this first one i had to notch the top portion of the steel to allow the pedal to pivot all the way back. all notching was done after i got the steel straightned out by the way.
here u can see how straight the arm is compared to the massive offset that used to be in it.
these are really hard to see but you should notice that i had to notch the upper portion of the bracket that surrounds the sensors to allow it to sit higher that the steering column bracket. this was because the pedal would hit the floor before fully depressed. you may or may not need to do this. i just needed that extra 1/4".
its not hard. just takes some time to get it just the way u want it.
another member or here cut the arm in the middle, and slid themside by side and welded it back together. he might be able to post pics of his setup. theres no right or wrong way. just be careful with the sensors. they are sensitive. i broke them my first try. had to get a second pedal and start over... just dont beat on it with a hammer and u will be fine.

Thank you. At least I know it can be don't now.
Are you happy with the DBW and did you get your cruise control working
yes the cruise control works perfect. i think it was only 4 wires that needed to be spliced in. just look at the wiring diagrams and you should be good to go. some people say there is a "lag" vs the cable but its so minute its nothing to worry about. if your using it for drag, then i cant say as that might make a difference but i have no problem with it so i would recomend it. if you have the three parts for it, just install it. good luck
