I did read about doing ls9 gaskets because they increase the compression by a hair? You just re-gapped the sock rings?

Guess I had that backwards, I thought they were thinner than stock which in turn raises it but who knows I read so many pages and builds its making my head hurt. I am ready to start ordering parts and getting this on the road. Looks like the Whipple is going tomorrow so that frees some money up towards parts.

Holiday spending is over now time to crack down on this build. I decided to throw another piece to the puzzle and I am converting from 4x4 and going AWD so the power is going to get somewhere.
I am still deciding which way to go with the turbos like brand and exact sizing/housing, ewg or iwg, bov.... this will be at a lot of shows so im deciding if I should spend a couple extra bucks to put the garrett name under the hood or if the magnums are ok.
The wife bought me the cam and timing chain cover I wanted so we are getting there. Tryjng to figure out the shopping list.

Wheelies in a burban= bad ass!!!
My buddy had a 4 banger toyota 4x4 pickup in highschool that could pull the tires.. Also not from a stop..rolling in 1st on and off the gas! It was some FUNNY sheet
It was fun when I was younger but now I love the having traction and AWD so I am incorporating that in this build. I have my leads on a Denali front diff and a low mileage NVG149 out of an Escalade, which then I have to obviously either buy the input gear to accept the 80E or have my machinist friend either make a whole new gear or machine it himself. One thing at a time I guess.
I was looking to purchase HP Tuners but now I think I shot myself in the foot with the fact I upgraded my laptop to Windows 8.1 and it seems like HP Tuners did not develop a patch for it yet and are having complications.
