    4l80e dealers

Hey guys. Wondering if you know a reputable dealer that could sell me an 80e and whatever else I need. I do realize ill have to cut/weld the crossmember and I'm prepared for that. Also is there anything else I should purchase? Stall? Torque converter? I'm clueless on the trans stuff.

Goal: 6.0 lq4, l92 heads, cam, lt headers, maybe some 4.10s?

Just look for a pullout in a junkyard that had a lq4 mated to a 80e. Car-part.com links you to most of the salvage yards in the country so you can locate what you want.

I saw your goals.... if you do l92 heads you have to change the intake manifold. Not sure if you already knew that but its not as easy as just unbolting the 317s and put on the l92s.

Im in the start of pulling my whippled 454 out of my 95 suburban and swapping a 05 denali lq4 with low mileage on it hopefully going twin turbo if budget (and patience) permits. I have been doing endless amounts of research on this and there are a lot of opinions out there so read as much as possible.

Go with an 80e if you had the choice, they hold up to pretty much anything you throw at it.

So say you pay 700 bucks for one you find at a junk yard, put a nice converter on it and a shift kit. Assuming its a good trans, how much power do you think you could put to one before its too much? Some of these dealers that build em are claiming thier stage one is like 325 hp and they want like $2500 for one I'm like wtf! Are they just trying to cover thier asses?
