    Fuel Pump Question

I have a 98 c1500 with a 4.3. Can I use the fuel pump for a 2000 5.3? I was told by someone that it should have enough pressure.

If not should I just change the tank out for a fuel cell and external pump.

The newer pump will supply enough pressure, but the pump module may not fit into the OBS tank. Something that will have to be investigated. You can always buy just a new pump and use it on your old sending unit. Alot cheaper than buying the whole sending unit with pump. I got a new pump off Ebay for like $40.

Sorry I worded that wrong... I was talking about using the 98 4.3 fuel pump for the 5.3..I was told it had enough pressure.
