Hey guess pretty new on here. i have got most of the parts for my first 5.3/4l60 swap in my 91 Silverado. also have a couple motors i have picked up here and there, a 4.8 and 6.0 layin around for some other projects. hope to have a full build to post soon. i definately could use any help when it comes to the wiring and harness splicing. every thread i see consists of using the blue and red computer plugs, i have a factory setup from whats supposed to be a 2006 silverado. drive by wire. and factory computer. once i get this setup in my truck and have it running im going to start gettin the 6.0 together.

    91 1500: so far

    2006 5.3/4l60 swap
    mounting adapters
    walboro 255
    factory wire harness
    factory ecu
have to order still the fuel line adapters. and whatever else im missing.

the little hotrod i build a few years back. worst thing i ever did was use a ford motor. lol. nothing but minor issues over and over again with it. love the truck and its fun to drive..

Hope to be able to share my builds here with everyone. so far this is the best source i have found when it comes to swapping these ls motors into trucks or anything for that matter. Like i said before any tips, or info is greatly appreciated. once i can get the wire harness fingered out i will go through with the heart transplant. I dont want to get it taken apart and not have it finished within a reasonable amount of time..

so orinally had a 5.3 4l60 swap to go in the 91 shortbed. ddecided to use to use it for another project. ended up piecing together a 6.0 w harness computer dbw pedal from a 2009 express van. purchased my fuel sytem from race parts solutions, i decided i would go with -6 ptfe with a aeromotive 340 and EFI regulator and all the fittings and adapters for the factory rail. im ready to drop it in so far and measure drive shaft, install fuel system. still missing a radiator and fans as well as the WIRING! i ahve the express van harness and computer as well as the factory harness for the tbi 305. Does anyone have a link to how to wire this harness. i have found alot on 2007 and under but not to much about the newer harnesses. Im trying to retain the factory air and cruise control as well as the gauges. i have the harnesses stripped and cleaned ready to change and remove wires. Im trying to do this one myself to grasp a better idea of how the wiring works. thanks for any input and more pictures to come from the install. first LS swap for me but byfar not the last.

so its been a bit. ended up getting a 6.0 4l80 swap from a 09 2500 express van rollover. got it with the harness and computer still missing the dbw pedal and tac module. i have had no luck finding anything on these harnesses. wet to lt1swap and the info there matched up pretty good. still have a couple plugs i dont know where they go to and what to do with them.
