New guy from North Carolina NEED HELP BAD

    Okay what I am doing is putting a 04 5.3 and a 02 4l60e into a 92 single cab 2wd c1500.
Motor = check, trans= check, wiring and computer = check, tune and harness redone by Nelson performance = check, conversion mounts = check.
Now I'm kinda stuck. Me and my father are doing this swap together as a father son thing because we both work a lot and its the only way we get to spend time together.
We are both mechanically capable so that's not the problem. Just a little new to the whole swap so its a little difficult.
Any insight on this swap or info that anyone could give me would be great.
I have been reading the thread that Redheartbeat posted and its has been helping but if anyone else has any other knowledge that would be awesome.

What I'm stuck on has to do with a trans cooler. The factory radiator for the 1992 has one built in and I was wondering if I could use the factory trans cooler lines off the 92 on the 02 trans.

So what you are saying is cut the fittings off the 1992 lines that screw into the radiator and adapt them to the 2002 lines or should I just run a separate trans cooler?

I would run a separate cooler. Thats what I did on my GEN swap into a 1978 C20, using a 4L60E trans.
I am not a big fan of radiator coolers.
Got any pics of the conversion? Always interested to have a look at what people are doing.

running a seperate cooler will also eliminate the chance of mixture with coolant. but ask ?'s if needed.
