95 Chevy c1500 5.3 swap.. Need help

I got a 95 chevy c1500 2wd with 4.3 v6 and a nv3500 5 speed. I've been thinking about a motor swap for a while because the 4.3's power is really not all that great and its starting to really rack up the miles (225k). I was talking to a friend of mine about doing a swap to a 5.7 when he told me that the 5.3 would be a better way to go. Any ideas or tips on what all I will need to get to make this swap happen.
