Originally I wasn't going to purchase a underdrive pulley. Just didn't see the real $ to power. But I scored a JEGS 25% truck underdrive pulley on ls1 for $160 with an ARP bolt. I don't need the ARP bolt...if YOU DO LMK.
Just wishing for warmer weather.
For you guys that are lowered...are you guys running into Oil Pan clearence issues using the truck oil pan?
The truck oil pan sits about 2 inches lower than the front crossmember on a 1992 2wd pickup.I bought my truck already lowered so i am not sure how much it is lowered but i have no problems. The truck is c notched in the back if that helps.
Thanks for the response. My truck is 4wd but going 2wd witht he 80e. I am running 22's with staggered tire size. But my rear is 305/40/22. Just have shackles in the rear. Once I get this thing running I have Hangers, C-Notch and Firestone Air Bags waiting to be installed. I can not go any lower in the front or else I risk bottoming out unless I do some trimming which I refuse to do. I do not want any debris getting in my engine bay.
It is getting warmer out...start the final stages of prepping before the actual swap.
For those who have swapped...Did you guys run the wires to the 411 or hacked up LS Harness? Keep in mind I am looking to retain All the goodies...A/C, Cruise Control and ABS
Been lurking since 09 and I finally have my kickass 6.0 LQ4LQ4 LQ9 6.0L Engine Service Manual Save to your computer in case it disappears
I used the original harness supplied with the 6.0. Modified it for my truck. I retained the A/C and cruise control. I'm sure your vehicle will be different with all it's accessories and difference in year from mine. It took some work but I felt it was worth it. It gave me a better understanding of the entire electrical system.
