As always can not fail to recognize all of SPT crews' help, support and knowledge they bring to the racing scene, each play there crucial role in the success of La Matona's record breaking run/s.
Lets get to the big white elephant in the room...I would be lying to all if i didnt say that the 116 mph trap speed is a difficult pill for us to swallow too, therefore creating room for doubt, yes this is coming from the people who built the truck. We juggled this issue plenty yesterday night and while 116 to the previous 112 trap speed seemed to be out of WHACK to say the least, I think we call can concur or agree that whats most important is that the et's dropped and at the end of the night, and that the record was broken yet once again.... THAT is all that matters, TO US.
Changes that were made were the following: 4.56's to 4.88's/adjustable shocks in the rear/some weight reduction. We did NOT run the Nick Williams 102mm because we encountered some issues along our commute to the track.
We will run it again this friday, perhaps next week (wednesday) and get this trap speed figured out once in for all. for now, it stands at 11.78@116.3 1.63 60ft until further notice.
In finally, we are having a ton of fun with La Matona and that is absolute bliss....with that said, enjoy the run in 1080....just changed out the run and the song to the vid and a few comparison pictures at the end...Keep truckin'
