but a 454LSXr engine swap would be special.www.sdparts.com
Maybe a 720 or 620 HP 572 would be noteworthy.

See my truck data in the "My Garage" section here... http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/my-ga...tml#post191709
Something to keep in mind is that while 13,xxx of these trucks were sold in the first year, in 1992 only 1,xxx were produced.

Thanks for the input guys. I thought for sure there would be someone here on the LS1truck.com who'd say swap in the LS. haha. I def understand why you guys are advising against it though. I am aware of the production numbers in 92, actually that is part of the reason why I got the truck. That and the fact came with the 4L80e from the factory. The only thing in the BBC realm w/in my budget would be the zz454 crate engine which is around $6k. I think I'd rather do a crate engine vs rebuild, but that's something else I could look into I guess is a rebuild. $6k in the LS world goes a LONG way. A low mile LY6 + cam/springs would be what I'd lean towards if I do go the LS route. And I could probably do that for $4-5k.
You guys have def given me some food for thought though. I'll keep my ears open if anyone else wants to chip in their $0.02. Thanks again.
I'll buy that 454 from you can do the LS swap. I've been needing a new boat anchor. I wouldn't piss on that 454 if it was on fire...
6k on an LS swap is EASY. Do it and don't look back. You'll be much happier.
