    Th400 to lq4???

Well just picked up a th400,that I got a killer deal on!..what flywheel will I need to run to bolt up?I have the flat one without spacer..when I go to buy my converter,do I just get it for the th400?..also it looks like only 5 bolts will work, bolting the bell housing to the block..the th400 doesn't have the very top one..and the bolt isn't tapped for the one just to the right on the block..

Th400 flex plate Tci pn# 399753, just use the bolts that line up. I've been running mine like that for a long time with no issues.

that spacer that comes with the tci flywheel for the ls engines is a pos!
it basically extends the snout of the converter so it goes into the crank.
    that spacer free floats/spins.
the noise is creates sounds like you just screwed the trans install up.

solution, tig weld the spacer to the crank, only takes a few tiny tig tacks.

as long as the offset is fine, you can opt to drill out the holes on the flexplate. i haven't done this, we either get the converter bolt holes mounts built for the trans/engine type or use the tci plate.
