I have a 2007 silver ado single can with the 4.8, shortie headers, K&N Cai with a base tune. What should my first mods be? I came stock with 323 gears and I was to do 373. Will it help?

Get a good tune done, swap to 410 gears, and a stall from circle d.

Welcome from laurel.
Sit down and figure out what your final goal will be. Buy a good posi unit like the Truetrac or Valuetrac along with the gears you want to run. You will need to calculate what RPM you can live with at cruise RPM. LS based engines are notorious for oil consumption if you run high RPM, over 3000, all the time. Calculate what size tire and gear you're going to run to determine the RPM and gear selection. Once you have gears and LSD installed get yourself a convertor to match the power curve of the camshaft you want to run. Get a convertor that is somewhere around 500 RPM higher that where the cam starts to build power. Are you staying naturally aspirated or do you plan to go with a power adder like nitrous, turbo or supercharger? Everything but a turbo will like a nice set of longtubes.
