Got the lq4 swap done, finally!!

Spent the last couple days swapping an 06 lq4 with 66,000 into my 04 Sierra ext cab z71. Finally got all the bigs worked out. It was very minor stuff. If I had known how easy the swap was I'd done it a long time ago. I couldn't be happier. Just running a stock lq4 for now with my stock tune and all I can say is WOW. What a difference. I ha e some big plans for the near future, starting with a Nelson tune probably next week. Thanks to everyone answering the questions I've had lately, I'm sure I'll jaw alot more to come. Been doing some research on a decent cam and stall and headers. I'm sure with just the extra power I have now the l60e isn't gonna b real happy, so gombe beaf her up soon or go 80e. Don't know yet. But yea, I'm pretty damn happy with the outcome so far.

Thanks guys. I did take a few progress pics along the way. I need to post em up. I can't wait to get a tune. I am impressed already, so can't wait to see what else she can do. I've only scratched the surface.

you made a good choice doing a 6.0 swap. If I would have known backin the day what i know now, I never would have cammed my 4.8 lol..

^ I agree. If I'd known how easy it was to do I'd done it a long time ago. My truck actualy feels like it has some balls now lol.

I'm about to swap out my 5.3 in my 04 with a 6.0, were there any issues at all you can share so I have a heads up? special tools, extra parts, etc....
