Which one do you have? I can get the x930bt for a pretty good deal i think. My bro-n-law has one. Otherwise I will look at some head rest ones.

This is the one I have. I'm fairly sure its discontinued though. In general though, Pioneer has some of the best headunits and have for the past few years, especially the premier models. Stay away from anything Sony in car audio. One thing to look out for is satellite radio. Some of the headunits (like mine) say XM ready, but then you have to buy a module to make it work. I want to say it was around 150$. I don't listen to the radio very often so I didn't bother with it. I just cancelled my XM and went on about my business.

most of the pioneers, you just ground the brake pedal wire from the headunit for the bypass.. its how mine is done..

I like pioneer and kenwood. The kenwood is easier to bypass, just ground the brake wire. However, depending on which car harness you get, the relay for the automatic brake bypass is pretty simple too; ground, reverse signal, e-brake wire is all that is needed. Seems as though everyone has the bass options covered. Overhead monitors are a pain in these trucks due the curvaceous headliner. headrest monitors are nice because they are easy to install and can be removed without having to replace the headliner.

Sticky/broken gauges? I can help. PM me for details.
Yes, you need a relay for the pioneer but it's easy and no switch to mount! Pioneer makes great HUs. I put a avh-p3400 in my wife's car and we love it. To retain your bose system you will need a separate interface, and if you have steering wheel controls you will need another interface. In my wife's car I used a PAC steering interface that allowed me to keep the radio and the bluetooth steering wheel controls. I got maximum integration!!! I am not a fan of the Bose system and that $100 you'll spend on that interface I think is better spent toward a 4 channel but that's my 2 cents. I also think shallow mount subs are not a good option. You can get a custom ported box built with a nice 8" or 10" and it will sound better than a pair of shallow sealed 10"s or 12"s imho.
If you're not first, you're last.
I said piss on the steering wheel controls and I have never used OnStar or Bluetooth. I didn't integrate them.

Had I known you were looking I'd have hit you up Mark, I just sold my P4300 DVD. If it were me, I'd snag the new AVH P4400BH, it's the new version of the P4300 but it has built in HD radio and Bluetooth. You'll also need an interface like the Axxes GMOS LAN 02 or better yet, the Axxes GMOS-100 which will retain absolutely everything for you in one module. If you get it through Crutchfield, I think they charge like ~$125 for the GMOS-100 and ~$75 for the GMOS LAN 02 if you buy the DVD player through them. Don't be a cheap ass like dumb dumb up there, if you get the GMOS LAN 02 you'll also need either the Axxes AWSC or a PAC SWI PS for steering wheel control integration. I'd personally look into Sundown for the subs.
