I feel bad for the HPT staff, especially SS THIS. How hard they worked to put this on, to make this a huge event and have it basically ruined by all the cabrones out there. I went to the HPT site and guys were talking about taking pistolas to protect themselves or help keep order. If they even have to talk about doing something like that, then they should NOT have the event.

"So 2013, we need to look at planning the HPT event this year. First things first, how many AKs do we need on staff?"

    SRSLY? GTFO.

And this is why I'll never be at one of these events. If our event was like this you wouldn't see 30 people from OK making the trip down every year.

wow, wtf is this crap? Dont call it a truck shootout. Call it a mexican shootout. Truck shootouts are where trucks go to the track to actually run! Not to disrespect the grounds and everybody else there

From what I hear RPR is still kinda bad even if it isn't a HPT event

not to take anything from allen or freddy, but you cant compare ls1truck shoot out to hpts , theres a huge difference in few hundred and 8000 people !!!

what has happened at hpts shootut is 80 % of the people thought of it as being nothing but a huge ass party, hell thats what most of there plans were before the event was scheduled !!! racing was the last thing on there minds, id love to see this event get back on track, which i know it will, just needs alittle help, theyll keep having it and itll keep getting better in the sense of a all out racing event which i hope is what it'll be all about, they realize its grown and will grow every time they have one!!! if you ask me they were ripped for the price they paid for police support! maybe there were just to many spectators and were uncontrollable?

i say they organize it like a NHRA or national event, and youll get rid of most if not all the BS they recently have had

only thing i have seen was the long waits on friday nights, the staging lanes are long, didnt really see to much crazy action going on like butt loads of burnouts, you may have one or two maybe a few but friday nights are all about racing!!! its just the time it takes to get through the staging lanes to the actual lights take alittle while!

I believe on another thread I stated a way to solve this 0 alcohol consumption, if youre caught with it youre gone, if youre drunk youre gone, same policy on drug use. Ill walk around with a security shirt and an AR for free to stop the idiosy. It makes my blood boil to think people can be so stupid.

I'd take 20, 100 or a few 100 racers over 8,000 idiots every time. Thanks to Nelson and SAR for the LS1 Truck Shootout. We're truck racers can get together race and have a god time...
