    system for the Dmax Questions?

Ok guys I am looking at upgrading the stereo gear in the Dmax. I am looking to put in a indash DVD/Nav unit, I like the Pioneer and the Kenwood. I just need to make sure that they can be hacked/ wired so that the DVD can play while driving. ITs for my kiddo in the back center seat. Next i want to add a couple subs. I am guessing that shallow mount will be the way to go, but know nothing about that stuff. The truck has the bose system, and not looking to change out any of those speakers at this time. Basically need the subs and video/ Nav. Lets hear your ideas.

I have the same stock system, I just added a JL 900/5 and the stealth box that holds 2 w3 10s. It jams, but I kept my factory head unit and speakers. The Bose speakers will take a ton of power and sound great! Any of the DVD head units can be wired to play while drivin, just has to be hooked to switched ground source. They sell auto switches, or you just buy a cheap toggle switch and hook it to a ground, and switch it off the on when you start the DVD, I will tell u tho, I had the in dash DVD in my last dmax, and it's HARD not to watch it... Lol...

You can wire up a relay to be an auto switch. Look it up on Google> Pioneer dvd bypass

I like the looks of the stealth box, and the idea that you still retain a little under seat storage on the pass. side. Where did you buy yours from Mic, Crutchfield?

FYI, I did the shallow subs before the stealth box in my dmax and they sucked compared to a full depth sub. It gets quite expensive in harnesses alone when adding aftermarket screens to the NNBS especially if you want to retain your steering wheel controls. Your looking at a couple Gs almost to add what your list is but definitely keep those bose in there and put some power to them. A lot of people will say you can't do it and whatnot, but they are FOS I promise...Good Luck

Sounds good, no to concerned with the cost more the quality. Get what you pay for 9 times outta 10. Might look at head rest screens just not a huge fan of them, and an over head in the Dmax i just dont know if it it would look and fit well. The vid is just for the kiddo only i could care less about it. Mic I am sure your kids love watching vids in the burban, mine does in the Mada.

I really like my Pioneer indash Mark. I have it setup with a relay to bypass the video safety stuff.
