I will be swaping in a 5.3 into my 1992 2wd 1500 pickup soon.I wanted to know if the new power steering pump uses the old lines or if i can use my old pump or i have to get new lines.I did a search but couldn't seem to find the answer.

Should screw right in if you get the 5.3l pumps's lines.
Only issue you may run into is if the 5.3 came out of a truck with hydroboost. There will be a third line. Just remove the hose and cap it off.

You can use your original lines if u can't get the new ones. I used my 96 lines and they worked fine
I used both. I used the main high pressure from the LS engine, and i used my stock 94 return. I think the main thing is you dont want to be messing with them too much, because they are a pain in the butt to remove from the rear of the resevior especially if the engines in the truck already
