    So to everyone that has done the Gen III swap into a 88-98, do you guys buy your adapter plates or do you make them?
    Project: 91' short wide:
    GMC front end update with billet grille and all clears, 17x8 & 17x11 Torq Thrust II's
    5/7 drop, almost totally shaved and 93 Deville tails
    Future Plans: 2001 LQ4 6.0L & a T-56

    DD: 98' 5 speed GT : Dumped Exhaust, CAI

    I made my first set out of 1/4" plate steel. NITROUS made my current set out of stainless steel.

    I found mine on ebay for about $30 plus ship. Beats the hell outta $80 or more from S&P. Theirs are chrome but who cares? you cant even see the damn things.

    Excuse me. I just looked in S&P's catalog and they're $90 for natural finish $140 for chrome! :flipoff: that

    I had mine made at a local welding shop that used a plasma cutter. The plates from e-bay are cheaper and I will buy them next time.

    Yeah I think your right. The catalog doesn&#39;t specify exactly, it just gives option for natural,polished, and chrome. Sounds like alum. to me. Still it&#39;s aluminum, not gold&#33; he he

    S&P&#39;s are aluminum. BRP sells theirs for &#036;90 (steel). Ebay&#39;s cheaper&#33;

    well i have a plasma cutter and a pretty good machine shop at my house, so does any one hvae the plans of the plates, for location of the holes and such..thanks
