Got a few more things done. Cleaned and scuffed the tranny, painted it and put a new front pump seal in it while it was out. Got the transfer case ready to hook up, but when I disconnected it I guess theres a paper gasket that goes inbetween that NAPA doesn't have. So either I am going to silicone it, or go to my local Chevy Dealer this weekend to see if I can find one. Getting the tranny under the truck was a bastard (all by myself). Just because it was so big/heavy/bulky. I had to jack the truck up and put it on blocks just so I could get the tranny under neath. Then since its so heavy I took ratchet straps underneath it, and pulled it up so i could get my jack under neath it. That actually worked out well for those of you who attempt that in the future by themselves.; Right now its just sitting on the jack, propped up under the truck. Tomorrow I will get it bolted together if everything goes right. Also, NAPA doesn't have knock sensors either???!!! WTF NAPA your slowly losing my business! For putting the new seal in, its simple: I just take a screw driver and get behind the lip of the seal and just pry out. Make sure not to mess up the seal housing though, otherwise it may leak. Once you get the new one, lube it up. I just used wheel bearing grease (you dont need alot). Line it u with the hole, and a few taps with the hammer it will pop right in.

Got the tranny bolted up to the motor this morning. Lined up pretty good, for me finding out that the pins that help you line the motor and trans up were missing at the last second. Still got it bolted in with the torque converter bolted to the crank. Going to put the transfer case in a little later. I have to clean the old paper gasket material off and add some silicone first. I went with a 94 3/4 241c transfercase so it matches the 32splines. Get step by step closer to getting to the wiring. oh yea. long tubes will be here monday :-)

Few updates and tips. For using the 6.0 / 4l80e combo with the dirty dingo mounts, the transmission crossmember has to be moved back to the next set of holes (easy). For trucks with a suspension lift like mine, you have to mess with the dam suspension parts because they connect to that cross member (which was a pain in my butt, actually a pain in my nose, since one of the bars fell down on me and broke my nose) Mother #@%@#$%!! Anyway, that stuff is all buttoned up, I recieved my headers (pacesetter long tubes) but before I put them on Im waiting for my msd mini starter to arrive from summit since I know it will be a tight squeeze. I also am replacing the knock sensors while I have the intake off (expensive but worth it) Today I am going to try getting the power steering lines hooked up correctly / deleting the hydroboost line. Also need to get my gas pedal / module in there I will see how easy that goes. Ill post updated pics later today of the progress!

K heres some updated pics. Ran into alot of problems this morning :-(. First I was testing out the transfercase by shifting it, and it wouldnt go into 2wd (probably because the 4l80 pushed it back 2 inches) So I was going to try loosening up the linkage and it broke.

THEN I tried hooking up the tranny linkage, and its not even close to working?! Can you use the old linkage on the new swap? Or what do you have to use. I took some pics of it, its close to the hookup but u can see it gets hung up on the plastic nuetral safety switch.

And I hooked up my power steering stuff but the lines are so long I have to run the high pressure one out the wheel well, then it swings back in. Hate the look of it. Looks cobbled...anything I can do to fix it? Took some pics of this too, hopefully someone can confirm that I have the hydroboost blocked off correctly. I just took an old cap off a radiator and clamped it.

The first set of pics will just be of the progress that I have made

K this set of pics is for the tranny linkage. Im not sure why it wont fit, I don't recall anyone having this problem on their 4l80e builds. It just seems too long, its hitting the plastic casing of the sensor on the side of the tranny...heres some pics
