    HELP! 6.0 / 4l80e wiring

Need help please! First I have a 94 silverado (4x4) 1500 that im putting a 2005 6.0 (2wd) motor in. I also got the wire harness from the 2005 (2wd). I posted this a while back and guys said that my 2wd 6.0 harness should work with the 4x4 4l80e that I got. It doesnt! I swear! Only 2 of the connectors match up, unless I am missing something. I will post pictures of the connectors that fit, the connectors that don't fit (that ones that are dissconnected in the pics), and the female ends of the connectors that it should look like. I need to know whether or not i need to get another harness, if i do im just going to get one from nelson...this is exactly where the frustration kicks in.

and another question, what do i do about my transfer case. It is the manual lever style, but still has 2 connectors on it. I plan using that and putting a 32 spline input shaft in it, to math up with the 4l80e, or i plan on just buying a different transfer case from an 88-94 chevy that has the manual lever style, that came from a 4l80e.

    Thanks, Matt

another note: i do realize that blue connector is broke, i just dont want to replace it just yet if this harness isnt going to work.
Also: the picture isnt that great of the female connectors ON the tranny. the first one is a 6 prong, and the second one is a 4 prong.

Looks like you need a newer style neutral safety switch. Gm Part # 24221125 AC Delco Part # D2257C
This should fix the problem with the large connector. Don't know on the others.

That switch also tells the pcm what gear you are in. Trans may not shift right without it.

I have not worked on a 4L80 in a while so I don't remeber the other plugs. Hopefully someone who knows will chime in.

the small one with the purple wire and green wire is the VSS. this should plug into the back of the transfercase or the tailshaft of the trans. u need to use the orginal plugs that were plugged into the trans. thats the park/neutral safty switch.

i wouldnt even worry about the PRNDL switch..it will shift fine without it as long as the tune is set for it..all other plugs will be the same..if your truck has a PRNDL (neutral safety) on the stock transmission i would just swap it onto the 4l80
